So you’re the best man in a wedding. First of all, congratulations! You hold one of the top honors a wedding has to offer. Not only that, but you get the other honor of giving a speech at the wedding reception. If you’re not comfortable speaking in front of people, you might be a little anxious knowing that this coming up. Like everyone, you want to make sure you can present the best speech possible. Here are 3 simple tips to follow that will help you deliver an incredible and memorable speech:

1) Create Your Speech By Using An Outline

This might sound dumb (or very elementary), but doing this will give you an idea of how you can approach your speech. It will help you decide what you should talk about, what stories or ideas you can bring out, and what things you should keep to a minimum. By creating an outline, you will save yourself time when writing the actual speech itself.

2) Keep It The Right Length

What length is appropriate for a speech? Make it great, but not too short or too drawn out. A great speech should be able a good 5-10 minutes in length. Any longer and you will lose interest in the crowd. Shoot for somewhere in between the range above, and you’ll hold the attention of the crowd long enough to remember your speech.

3) Write Based On The Wedding Party

What do I mean by this? Is the bride/groom humorous, or more serious? Write your speech to the vibe of the wedding party. If they are humorous, try to include things that will make them laugh. If they are more emotional, include things that might be sentimental to them and touch their hearts. In other words, just go with the flow of their personality. Do that, and people will remember that speech forever!

“Its your turn, the master of ceremonies gives you the nod and announces that it is time for the best man speech!, you arise nervously from your chair, clear you throat and think to yourself… “I hope this goes well”

Making a best man speech can be a stressful process, its one of the pivotal events of the night and all eyes and ears will be turned and tuned toward you.

Putting together a wedding speech of any type is not an easy process. Getting the right blend of humor, emotion and wit just right is a daunting task. Get it wrong (as many do) and people will be cringing to themselves for years to come… “remember when so and so made that awful best man speech!”. However get it right and you will be the envy of your friends and admired by all the attendees at the wedding ceremony.

Here are a few quick tips to ensure your best man wedding speech is a success

If you nervous don’t make it too long, in fact don’t make it too long period, you don’t want a bored, yawning audience waiting for you to get off.
Having said that don’t make it too short, try not to make a “blink and you will miss it” speech.
Include humor, its a great ice breaker, most people will be wanting you to do well and will gladly help you out by laughing, this breaks the tension and you will settle into your task quickly.
Don’t be crude, as funny as it may be to your male friends, the audience (and the brides family for that matter) DO NOT want to know the details of drinking exploits or ex-girlfriends.
Take your time speak clearly, don’t rush and mumble.
Smile, don’t take it so seriously, if you stumble on your words, just smile and laugh it off, the audience will laugh with you, not at you.

Writing a speech is a daunting task, maybe you should consider getting a professionally written one for the day so you don’t let the wedding party down. Speech writing guides contain many different and quality examples which can be edited and combined to form a fantastic unique speech. They are available for extremely cheap prices via digital download, best of all even if its the night before the wedding, you can have the guide downloaded and your best man wedding speech up and running in 20 minutes, allowing you to get a good nights sleep and enjoy the next day, safe in the knowledge that your speech is destined to be received warmly.

I personally have put together a wedding ceremony guide for making the perfect best man wedding speech you can take a look at it here The best Man Speech.

You too can make golden wedding speeches if you follow my tips and tricks on writing. I never thought that it would be this easy to make a wedding speech. I just followed some guides from the Internet and I was on my way to writing a very inspirational speech that everyone, especially the newlyweds, can be proud of. It is a great feeling to impart a good message that will leave a profound impact on everyone.

Before I wrote my speech, I was stressing out that I cannot make a golden wedding speech. I was so anxious about this that I was not able to sleep weeks before the wedding. It was my brother’s wedding, and I was tasked to deliver a speech and a toast to help liven up the wedding. I was stressed because I have no real experience writing. In fact, the last time I wrote was during college where I was doing some term papers.

Thank goodness for the Internet I found some guides and tricks on how to write golden wedding speeches. This is the first thing I did when I was calm enough to seek help from the Internet. I scoured on a good search engine and I found some answers on how to write a better speech. Allow me to share some of the knowledge I leaned.

First, you have to assess your audience. Since you already know that this is going to be a wedding, then you already know to keep the language light and conversational. Don’t worry about grammar initially since you are just writing the first draft. After you are finished, have someone edit your work.

Second, follow the rule of KISS, or keep it short and simple. As I said before, just use conversational English. Do not use dictionary words because you want to cater to a wide range of audience from children to adults. Use short sentences to be coherent and succinct.

Third, choose a single theme and then stick to it. Just choose one topic and stay with it all throughout the speech. You can tell a lot of anecdotes or jokes, but do not stray from your main topic. This is basically the same as a thesis statement to help you focus your writing.

The theme mentioned above will help you also focus your point as well. You have to end the speech with a point to impart to your audience and to the newlyweds. Your point can either be comical or inspirational, just as long as you gave something valuable to your audience that they can leave feeling good about the matrimony.

I hope the tips above can help you make golden wedding speeches. If you need more guides, tips, and tricks just head on over to http://www.weddingspeechesforall.com/
